Things I like. Things I see.

August is my favourite month, yes I have a favourite. My birthday month and (supposedly) the height of summer.

This August was one of the busiest yet…

I found my way to Somerset House again, this time as part of the Film4 Summer Screen to see ‘The Watch’, and the weather (for once) was absolutely perfect for an outdoor screening – shock!
Modern and classic architecture looking good on summer days – and what looks like a giant game of noughts and crosses in the sky.

Did I mention my birthday is in August? Well I was treated to a shopping day at Bicester Village and dinner at Jamie Oliver’s Fifteen restaurant (NB: I’m still accepting presents if you were wondering).

I took part in a photo shoot orchestrated by a very talented photographer chum of mine. We spent half the day shooting in a very nice, modern, neutrally decorated interior space and the rest in the graffiti rich Leake Street underpass/tunnel in Waterloo.

And the cherry on the cake of the fantastic month of August – I was a bridesmaid. One of my closest cousins got married and it was a perfectly perfect day. The wonderful wedding was held in a venue in Kent and we stayed nearby at the very attractive Tudor Park Hotel and Country Club which I’d thoroughly recommend if you’re ever in the area.

Phew! So that was my month – what have you been up to?
